Without warning, the FA board of Trustees and Committees had reached a decision not to provide funding towards the England Futsal Deaf Women's squad which was bizarre considering that we had finished a creditable 4th place at the European Deaf Futsal Championships in Finland in December 2018, despite several odds stacked against us such as missing key players and injuries. And we had qualified for the World Deaf Futsal Championships! The article can be found here. The move by the FA had completely devastated us for we would now be forced to self-fund should we enter prestigious futsal events in the near future.

However, both the England Deaf Men’s and Women's Futsal teams shall be representing the nation with pride in partaking in the 6th European Deaf Futsal Championship in Montesilvano, Italy from 13th October to 23rd October 2022. Both the Men’s and Women’s teams are to be involved in the main tournament. So, therefore, we shall be preparing our road to the Euros. And we would need to 'self-fund' ourselves to enable England to take their rightful place in this prestigious European Championships. In this respect, we would need funding support on an enormous scale to cover the costs for the mini-tournaments and the elite competition.

To help promote our worthy cause, we will need your kind donations to allow us to attend both the mini-tournaments and European Deaf Futsal Championship 2022.
