Ensure Koen Kendall's Well-Being and Future Opportunities

On March 6, 2025, our family was devastated by an unimaginable tragedy. My name is Dave Kendall, and I am Sean Kendall’s older brother. Sean was more than just family—he was a devoted father, a loyal friend, and someone who brought light into the lives of everyone he knew.

While working at a remote job site near Point Mackenzie, Alaska, Sean was involved in a tragic accident. As he and his crew crossed the Susitna River in a side-by-side (ATV), the ice gave way beneath them. Three members of the group managed to escape the freezing water, but Sean and another colleague were swept under the ice by the current.

Despite extensive search efforts by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, DPS aircraft, and the Civil Air Patrol, Sean has not been found, and the search is ongoing.

Why We Are Raising Funds

Sean’s greatest pride and joy in life was his son and best friend, Koen Kendall. As we face the heartbreaking reality of his absence, our family’s priority is ensuring Koen’s well-being, future, and the opportunities Sean would have wanted for him.

This fundraiser has been created exclusively to provide for Koen’s long-term needs. There are other efforts supporting immediate expenses for his surviving spouse Gina Kendall in taking care of the aftermath of this trajedy. In this case, 100% of these funds will be placed in a secure trust dedicated solely to Koen’s future.
