Help Safely Remove Life-Threatening Trees

Donation protected
Update: We are beyond grateful to an amazing community that rallied together to make a huge difference in Mr Smuck’s life. Any additional amount past the original goal will be used to pay the remaining crane fee, dump fees of debris, etc.

Hurricane Helene uprooted two large sweet gum trees on Mr. Smuck's property, leaving them precariously leaning against a poplar tree. If these trees fall, they could cause severe damage to his home, his neighbor’s home, and pose a serious threat to lives. Mr. Smuck, who has suffered two strokes and is wheelchair-bound, is unable to manage this situation alone.

As some may be aware, homeowners insurance does not cover potentially hazardous trees—only those that have already fallen on a structure. This leaves Mr. Smuck responsible for the costs of removing these dangerous trees before disaster strikes. As Rachel Thomas, owner of Tip Top Tree Service and a fellow Rosewood neighbor, I became aware of this situation and want to help Mr. Smuck raise the necessary funds. My team has offered our services for free and is covering half the cost of the crane needed to safely remove the trees. However, there are still remaining expenses that need to be covered.
(: Southeastern Crane Company has offered to give us a discounted rate!)

We are asking for your support to raise the additional funds to safely remove these trees and prevent any potential disaster. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference. Let’s come together as a community to support Mr. Smuck during this challenging time. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
