Entertainment in the South District

Entertainment--performances, dance and music should be EVERYWHERE, ALL the time, for EVERYONE! A few of the barriers to this happening consistently are funding, promotion, and coordination. So, the South District Neighborhood Association is coordinating a fundraiser to help break down these barriers to bring entertainment directly to the people, and we need your help before May 1st!

 

Please donate ANY AMOUNT to support this initiative. Your donations are tax deductible and will go towards the following: paying ALL performers, promotion of events, cost to have a FREE bouncy house and FREE face painting at neighborhood events (that are open to the entire public), cost for entertainment equipment, stage, sound, lighting, insurance and all that goes into putting on a show.  If you are a business, social group or nonprofit we'll be sure to share your generosity publicly!

 

ALL of our South District Neighborhood events are free and open to the ENTIRE public, so by donating to this fundraiser you make a direct impact on supporting arts and culture, supporting aspiring artists, and enhancing the quality of life for the South District neighborhood and the entire Iowa City area. We appreciate your support and hope you'll share this initiative with others. We also invite you to attend our neighborhood events as ALL ARE WELCOME in the South District Neighborhood. Some past events include: The Diversity Markets, Team Up to Clean Up, National Night Out, Harvest Feast and the Neighborhood Mural Painting Days.
