Enviromental disaster in Poland- Please Help

We are currently facing an environmental disaster in one of our second biggest rivers that has been poisoned with chemicals. As this river is on the border of Poland and Germany and leads to the Baltic Sea, the German side has taken some samples and announced that there are massive amounts of mercury in the water, all the fish are dying, and this has apparently been known for two weeks now by our government. Unfortunately, Polish citizens have not received any warning about going to the river to swim and spend time there or that the ecosystem is in danger.

We are still awaiting for the specialists to be delegated to help with this crisis as the river is dying, volunteers are trying to clear the river and many people do not realise the danger we are in.The clothers they are wearing are not withstanding the job that needs to be done.

We are therefore creating this fundraiser to help with recovery efforts led by people who live and work in affected communities and who are often overlooked and underfunded.

With the raised funds we want to help with cleaning the river and support areas affected as well as make the rest of the world aware of what is going on and make sure we follow up in a legal manner on why this was not taken seriously two weeks ago.
