Enzo Rastelli's Memorial- SBCC student, Age 19
Hello everyone. This GoFundMe was created to help the Rastelli family after the tragic loss of a son, a brother, and nephew. His death came as a shock that no family could be prepared for. Here is a message from his aunt Alaina. Please share and donate what you can to help this family while they grieve.
I’m reaching out today due to the tragic event that happened on the afternoon of January 7. It is with a broken heart that I relay the news that my nephew, Enzo Rastelli, was shot and killed in Santa Barbara, CA. It goes without saying that my brother Randy, my niece, Evalina and I are beyond devastated. Our hearts are broken.
We are awaiting more information but the killer is still at large. It is all so surreal.
He was a bright light who was taken way too early at the young age of 19yrs old. We recently FaceTimed over the holidays when he shared many of his dreams and aspirations he had for the year ahead.
He calls me Zialita which means “little Aunt” in Italian and mentioned that he couldn’t wait to create more memories together in 2021.
He brought levity everywhere he went and with whomever he was around. He loved taking pictures... you’d always see him with his camera or GoPro in hand. Food, cooking and entertaining were his passions. He was attending the Culinary Arts program at SBCC in Santa Barbara. A true lover of the outdoors hanging out on mountain tops to surfing the ocean waves. An amazing athlete who excelled at everything he immersed himself in. Loved by many with friends that cover the continent.
In a raw, vulnerable place and with all transparency we find ourselves asking for help. With the help of a dear friend, Tracey Allen, who is helping put together this GoFundMe page to help the family with logistics for services/ memorial etc.. Thank you so much for the contribution as any little bit helps. Obviously no amount of money will make the pain go away but it helps make logistics easier in the meantime and is much appreciated.
Feel free to share this with others who may want to help.
We appreciate all your loving support.
Cherish each moment and hug those you love most!
