Drive To Compassion

We are the Eekhoffs - I am Pete and my wife is Jenn. For those of you who know us, you know that we have love and compassion for children. You know that God has called us to do more for the children in our community. We have 3 biological children, one adopted daughter and currently have one foster son with a whole lot more room to love in our house. We have been foster Parents for several years and have been parents to over 20 kids in that time. We have a specific call on on our lives to provide a safe, loving home to children. Many of the children we have had in our home have come to us with specific and special needs and we have had countless appointments that has required us to transport, often with all of the children in the van. The problem - we do not have a more room in our van. Our hearts break every time we get a call or hear of a need within our community and we have to give the dreaded 'NO' because we have no room to transport these precious children. So we are here now, willing to do more, but limited due to space in the van. Many of you have asked us over the years, what can I do to help? Many have donated clothes and other necessities and countless others have kept us in your prayers, and for all of this, we are grateful. So now we are asking for help with a specific need......We need a different van, one that will allow us to say 'YES' when we get the heartbreaking calls and allows us to say 'YES' to helping and loving children within in our community. We are in need of an extended van, one that is low-profile and can fit in our garage. This type of vehicle is special order, which makes it special expensive. So, can you help us to fulfill the specific calling that God has placed on our lives to say 'YES' when we get the call to help other children in our community.
