Support Jaclyn and her family through the fight!
Jaclyn (Picollo) Jones was diagnosed this week with stage 4 melanoma cancer. Despite this news she is in good spirits and ready to fight. The oncologist told us yesterday that although she will be unable to “cure” her of this cancer, there are many treatments available for her and miracles happen everyday. We believe Jaclyn will be that miracle.
A little bit about her...
She is a wife to her husband Justin of almost 3 years, mother to her boys, Archer (almost) 4, and Kyler 10 months. A daughter to Bob and Sandy. A sister to Angela and a sister-in-law to Chase, Chris and Bryanna. A daughter-in-law to Jackie and Carl. A niece to lots aunts and uncles and a cousin to so many. A co-worker and coach to some truly amazing teachers, students and players at Spanish Springs High School. And the best kind of friend you could ever have to so many.
She was born and raised in Reno and has been a part of this community her whole life.
She is ALL about family and has the most amazing one around. Her support system is strong, but they are going to need some help to fight this battle.
She was hospitalized last week for blurred vision after a CT scan of her head revealed multiple brain masses and a mass near her right lung.
She underwent a craniotomy to retrieve a sample for biopsy and relieve pressure caused by the masses. The surgery was successful, but left her unable to mobilize the left side of her body. She had sensation but no movement. In the past few days she has been able to gain some movement back. The doctors are hopeful she will regain full function in a few weeks with the help of a rehab hospital.
The treatment for this type of cancer will be radiation followed by immuno-therapy. Her oncologist is very optimistic that through these therapies she will be able to have lots of time with her sons, husband, family and friends and be able to watch her boys grow.
Obviously these treatments will require her to be out of work and not able to do the job she loves. Her husband will also be taking some time off work to spend with his wife through her treatments.
This page is set up to help their family with any financial issues that come their way through this process. The only thing we want them to be focusing on is her and this fight she’s in.
We sincerely appreciate any donations you can make.
We also want everyone to feel like they are in the loop on her progression through this process and we are here to help facilitate that. Please reach out any of the numbers below if you have any questions.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With lots of love,
Her family and friends
PS: She is also known as Iron Man to her HBA Avenger gals so any Avenger fans please feel free to spread some super hero strength to our Iron Man ❤️
