East Providence Fire Victim Relief

Friday morning July 22 around 5 am, flames broke out at 102 South Blossom St. East Providence, RI., where a family lost all their belongings and two family pets, a dog and a cat. Karin DiPietro and her daughter Rachel barely made it out with their lives . Karin was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where she was treated for smoke inhalation. Unfortunately Karin did not have renters insurance, and is now burdened with replacing everything from clothes to furniture, and finding a new place to live. Some things can never be replaced, but anything would help get this family back on their feet. Every cent donated will be given to Karin DiPietro to help her and her daughter Rachel move past this horrific fire that claimed all her possessions and two pets. If you can not give cash donations anything will help; furniture, clothes ( size 3 and 7), appliances, etc. You can drop it off anytime from 8am-10pm Monday- Saturday at Brothers Gas, 317 North Broadway, Rumford RI 02916.
We will update everyone as the situation progresses. Please help however you can, Karin is a great person and has helped people like myself whenever in need. The day of the fire she went further into the blaze, up to the second floor to alert another resident of the danger, where she suffered smoke inhalation.
