Ephemerisle is much better with all the things!

Ephemerisle…sigh…how I love you!

A whole lotta blood, sweat, and love goes into Ephemerisle every year! Our experiences at Ephemerisle linger in our hearts and often on our "next year's Ephemerisle Shopping List" for months. A small smile crosses my face when I think of that sunset on the rooftop in the quiet of the Delta OR that excellent DJ set at 3 am! Whatever...don't judge!

Anyway, we have all experienced the joy of the summer sun and the pain of being on an island without enough ice! Oh, the horror!

But really, it takes a ton of planning, time, and energy given generously by a beautiful community so we can all enjoy each other for a magical week in the SF Delta! All the dis-organizers of all the islands have already figured out ways to bring everything necessary for the event. Barges are being cleaned, docks are being repaired, pump outs are being arranged, DJs are packing their headphones, and camping spots are being sold! There is no time like the present to ask everyone who enjoys this small slice of paradise to help lessen the burden on the people who have been making it happen for so long! I am relatively new to the Ephemerisle world, but I am grateful to be a part of this fantastic crew of dedicated hooligans, artists, leaders, and misfits! This fundraiser is to show my appreciation for their efforts so that they can enjoy their projects and bring even more fabulous stuff next year!

Ephemerisle's needs are simple:

1. Gas money...gas money...and more gas money!

Fuel to bring out the BIG infrastructure, including docks. Fuel for powering all the things that need power! We will spread the gas money wealth as far and wide as possible!

2. Medics! I really shouldn't have to say anymore!

They have been there for us and supported this community with gracious smiles, magical bedside manners, and loving hands.

3. Kevin Sharp has been quietly saving the day for years!

He is bringing his big tug and crane barge out again this year, and I want him to receive gas money and some compensation for all he has and is doing for us! $1000-$2000 sounds about right. I hope we are all looking forward to aerialists on a crane over the water...I know I am!

4. The smelly world of PORT-A-POTTIES

A place to rest your bum when it is time to plug your nose, hold your breath, and enter the loving and horrible land of port-a-potties! We all need them, and currently, there aren't enough campsites sold to pay for them. We all want to have them,, sooooo...They are approximately $350/piece, and we will get them on docks and pushed out before people arrive.

5. Trash removal and repair of the beloved Movie Barge.

The barge is already at Mandeville so we can check that off our list! We have the crew ready to bring trash back to land so we can start with a fresh space! They have already started the cleanup and need our help to make the Movie Barge a wonderful community space for everyone.

6. All the little incidentals!

We only think of these things once we are in the middle of the water. This time, we will run back and get them!

I promise to have everyone paid IN ADVANCE so we can all enjoy the lovely Delta together, knowing everything we need as a community is provided!

I will be out on the water on July 20th…pushing all the big things with a crew I can count on and a smile on my face! See you at sunrise… some night, I hope!
