Scott Gaulin - Med expenses & more

Scott Gaulin, a great guy and a wonderful friend is now battling for his life every day as his health continues to decline. Scott has a gofundme page (still active) but I'm not sure if anyone other than him knows how to withdraw the funds. So I've decided to start another one for his family to try to assist with medical expenses and other costs. Anything helps. The picture is from California Extreme (CAX) in 2012, a trip I was fortunate enough to go on with him. It was most defintely the highlight of recent years for him.

Hi my name is Scott and I was diagnosed with ocular melanoma in 2001. It was treated successfully and I thought I was home free. All the following years scans showed nothing till 2011 when the rug was pulled out from under me. I was told by my local oncologist that there are no treatments, no cure and I will die from it. Not words a 43 year old man with a wife and 3 kids wants to hear. So after hearing "nothing we can do" from many hospitals we finally found hope at Dana-Farber. I've been on lots of different medication and clinical trials but to date nothing has worked much. I'm now disabled and due to the loss of income we can no longer afford our house and are now going to be renting. Moving day was to be the 9th of May but my blood work indicated that my liver was at 20x greater than normal. I was admitted right away. I'm still fighting and still have lots of hope.
Update from Scott in mid August:
Thank you everyone. We have met the goal. Unbelievable the amount of kindness all of you have shown my family. As a health update, since there is nothing new for me to try and the previous drug left me so weak, I am now in hospice. I get seen by a nurse three times a week to make sure my pain is in check. So far so good
