Ocean Plastic - Remote Mobile Solution

The Great Sea Project Corporation team has developed a novel tool to close the loop on marine plastics and allow for smart, simple and cost-efficient cleaning, sorting and processing of marine plastics to prep them in shipping ready containers for delivery direct to recycled product manufacturers.

The self-contained recycling plant was created as a sustainable solution for ocean plastic clean up organizations. The plant is designed to be mobile, off grid, sustainable, and easy to use. It is built to be modified and unbreakable. The design allows for all sorting, cleaning and shredding of waste plastic to be done at the source, thus creating a higher-value product that is attractive to recyclers and connects communities to waste plastics buyers.

Opportunity and Funding

After our initial pilot in 2020/ 2021 we redesigned and reimagined how the Ocean Box (formerly SCR UNIT) could operate and impact. We have redesigned the box to be stronger and more sustainable, eliminating the need for a static power grid. We have formed amazing new partners that help with providence and tracking.

The funding will be used for the next leg of our journey and launching in eco sensitive areas aound the globe.
