Brother Kim King's House Fire Fund
Donation protected
My brother, United States Army Major Kim C. King, returned in the last year or so to the U.S. mainland after spending several years overseas serving his country in Afghanistan, Iraq, and most recently, South Korea. Kim’s three daughters and the rest of his family were all very happy and RELIEVED when he returned home from the war alive and unhurt once again. As he settled back home, he collected all of his personal belongings that the Army had been storing for all those years, found himself a nice quiet country house in Florence, South Carolina and settled in for some Army work at home in the good old U.S.A. Kim saw no more living and working in war zones in his foreseeable future.
Today, to our horror, the beautiful home Kym was renting caught on fire due to a faulty fireplace. Since he lives so far out in the country, it took the fire department 20 minutes to arrive and by then it was too late. Kym escaped with only the clothes on his back and his beloved dog Onyx. His Jeep and his Harley Davidson were also spared. As the pictures below demonstrate, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS TOTALLY DESTROYED. Kym lost his: Army uniforms, clothes, kitchen appliances, furniture, television screens, army medals and commendations, irreplaceable family heirlooms, photographs, computers, Army weapons, pet lizards, and other belongings which are far too numerous to list. I trust you get the picture.
Kym’s homecoming from the war zone has turned disastrous and in the tradition of Queen Elizabeth, has made 2016 an “annus horribilis”.
So, as Kim’s brother, I am requesting that all of his friends, my friends, my brother Khrystian’s friends, and of course, family members, donate through this web page so that Kym get back on his feet. If for some reason you feel uncomfortable donating online, you can send a check made payable to “Kym C. King” to my address at: 6711 Germantown Avenue, P.O. Box 18870, Philadelphia, PA 19119. Upon receipt, I will make sure Kym gets your donation.
On behalf of the King family, thank you in advance!
