Epps Family to Kenya, Africa

Hi, We are the Epps family. We have been asked to go to Africa, to the Maasai village and spend 3 weeks discipling the men of the village. We were told that if you ask them if they were a Christian, they would tell you, “Yes.” But if you ask them to come to church, they will say, “Oh, that’s only for the women.” The order of importance in their culture is…men first, animals second, children third, and their wives last. The church has an abundance of the women, but the husbands are not there. Obviously there is some disconnect in their understanding of the Gospel and who a Godly man should be…Simply, leading his family in the Word of God, praying with his family, and not forsaking the fellowship of believers; most importantly, (leading Biblically by example).

Discipleship is necessary for this village and their families. This trip will cost us $4,000.00 per person. Right now, we definitely need Kristen and myself to go. If we are blessed with the funds, we would love to bring our children so that they can also experience what missions overseas look like and we can serve as a whole family.
