Danny’s Cancer Journey

As many people now know, Danny has Cancer. Testicular(only on one side). He had it removed Friday July 28th. Surgery went as planned and no surprises.

It started out as some pain and a smaller mass that was found after we moved(May 19). He went in and the doc wasn’t too worried but still sent him to an ultrasound(Scheduled for July 10).

His primary called him after the ultrasound and set up blood work and a CT scan. Blood work came back with indications for cancer. CT scan found a couple of aortic lymph nodes enlarged and they also are suspicious for cancer.

We met with Urology(July 26th) to verbally discuss the results and treatments moving forward. Treatment plan is surgery(July 28) and chemo to follow.

He had the one testicle removed, and he has a consultation with Oncology for chemo treatments later this week. It does sound like chemo will be starting within this next week.

Neither I nor Danny like to ask for help, but with a 7 month old, and a new house any help is appreciated! Amanda is taking time off of work to help with appointments for chemo and taking care of Jaxon.

update(8-12-2023): Danny will be starting chemo Tuesday the 15th. Monday he has a bunch of pre appointments, bloodwork, education before starting chemo and a few others. Keep the prayers coming, thank you!
