TRAGIC: donate for Christopher Ramirez funeral

Donation protected
This past Sunday afternoon, on July 30, 2023, Christopher (Chris) Ramirez passed away from a tragic car accident. Chris was a son, a brother, a nephew, a cousin and our friend. While the loss we feel is profound, we can’t even begin to imagine the grief Chris’ family is enduring at this time. We recognize that given this tragic accident, there will be many medical bills to cover, a car wreckage to address, and funeral costs for a family that is already so deep in grief.

If Chris was still here today, we would hug him a little tighter, grab dinner with him once more or go on as many Starbucks runs as possible. Given that is no longer possible, we want to be there for his family and give back a bit of the love and care Chris always gave us. Please join this fundraiser to help alleviate a family that is already experiencing so much heartbreak.

For those of you who don’t know Chris like we do, we’d like to tell you just how great of a person he was. To paint you a picture, Chris was the friend everyone wanted and needed to have. He was a member of Port Chester High School’s wrestling team, the high school he graduated from in 2021. He loved and respected his family above all. He leaves an older sibling who he looked up to and admired. Chris would have been 20 years old this Aug 10, 2023.

From a very young age, Chris always wanted to improve himself. First with sports, then with school and afterward with work. He was always ‘hustling’ to be his best version. Chris was an employee at Coveleigh Club, heck he was a lover of Coveleigh. He started working there when he turned 15. Even as his mom found him other jobs here and there, he refused to leave his favorite place. This is where I met Chris.

Chris was the kindest person I had the honor of knowing. He was the happiest and most cheerful person to be around in and out of work. You could see him smiling and being playful on the hottest of summer days when we worked outside, or even on the coldest days when we had to walk down to the parking lot to get his car after a long shift. Oh did Chris love his car, his BMW 440i which he would talk about for days and days! He was a car fanatic, almost as much as he was a dog lover. His days were filled with love from his dear puppy, Snoopy.

As much as I can continue to write about Chris, I hope that when you are done reading this note, you will remember him just like I do; the most caring guy, your go-to-listener and your most trusted friend. If it’s not too much to ask, it would be great to read comments on your favorite memory of Chris, or what you will miss the most about our dear friend. In moments like these, remembering him at his best can give us all a bit of peace.

Thank you for your generosity and support,
