- Hi, I'm Anna Marie Young, and I'M RUNNING FOR WEST ADA SCHOOL BOARD -ZONE #3. As a mother of four beautiful biracial children that attend West Ada Schools, I've witnessed the challenges students face when it comes discrimination. My oldest three have experienced discrimination multiple times at West Ada schools. I'm serious about making sure my children, and EVERY CHILD, has EQUAL ACCESS to EDUCATION, which includes a LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FREE FROM harassment, especially DISCRIMINATORY HARASSMENT. I stand with teachers like Sarah Inama. Posters that foster inclusion based on RACE, COLOR, NATIONAL ORIGIN, RELIGION, or any of the other federal protected classes ought to be required in every classroom not banned! Title VI of the Federal Civil Rights Act has not changed. What needs to change is West Ada's policies. practices, and the make-up of the Board!
