Equestrian Team at UW '24 Fundraiser

The IHSA Equestrian Team at the University of Washington would like YOUR help in supporting our team for the 2023-24 academic year!

As a club sport at UW, we receive minimal funds from the university and instead rely primarily on donations from fundraisers like this one in order to function. One of our key missions is to make collegiate riding accessible and affordable for all who wish to partake. The equestrian sport has historically been prohibitively expensive, and we want to do our part to eliminate that barrier for both experienced competitors and those who just want to learn to ride & spend time around horses alike!

All donations will go directly to the team. They will be used for the following:

✯ Lowering show costs (gas, hotels, etc.) and limiting/removing out-of-pocket fees, so more members are able to attend

✯ Team show attire/gear

✯ Decreasing club dues in order to increase accessibility

✯ Purple & Gold awards to help pay for members' lessons

✯ Our annual UW home show (venue, EMT/safety measures, judges, ribbons & awards, etc.)

Our fundraising goals are as follows:

$5,000

Our starting goal! This gives us enough to cover a good chunk of travel for the start of our competition season or to buy new, much-needed equipment.

$7,500

Our first stretch goal! This will help us cover the full extend of our first competition season excluding our home show. Reaching this goal means our team wouldn't have to pay any out-of-pocket costs for hotels or gas for the drive.

$10,000+

Our final stretch goal! This would cover our competition season, gear, more affordable lessons, and contribute towards the cost of hosting our home show.

Reaching our stretch goals sets the team up for success in building an accessible and welcoming foundation for both the current season and years to come.
