Equi Vet vets shave their locks for Ukraine
Eamon and Jose, two of our vets here at Equi Vet, are volunteering to shave their heads as part of a fundraising activity to help support the victims in Ukraine. Jose’s long locks have been 3 years in the growing and Jose will attempt to cut all the grey hairs from Eamon’s head with horse clippers! We will be live streaming the event on our Face Book page (Equivet Mobile Horse Veterinary Services) on the 6th April at 10am so be sure to tune in!
We are trying to encourage as many people as we can to ‘Brave the Shave’ in support of the victims of the war in Ukraine and our solidarity with Ukrainian people. Your support could really make a difference to their lives. Any money raised will be donated the Disasters Emergency Committee and every donation will help. Jose's long hair will then be donated to The Little Princess Trust where it will be turned into a wig for children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other conditions.
More information about Disasters Emergency Committee: The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) - which in major crises brings together 14 leading UK aid charities to raise money to help save lives and rebuild shattered communities - is appealing for funds. The eight-year conflict in Ukraine has dramatically escalated. Heavy fighting, shelling and air strikes across Ukraine have had devastating consequences for the population with people forced to flee their homes to escape the violence. Please donate to help those affected.
