Equipment for LA Street Vendors

Donation protected
Every day street vendors run the risk of being attacked. In July, we started the Equipment for LA Street Vendors Fund to support vendors who have their equipment confiscated by the Health Department and LAPD.

When equipment is confiscated and/or food is dumped, vendors lose thousands of dollars of their investment that impacts their business and usually their only means of taking care of their family. The City of Los Angeles is one of the only major cities in the Country that doesn't have a permit system for sidewalk vendors. This means that street vendors run the risk of getting cited or are vulnerable to physical attacks.

To learn more about our efforts, visit the LA Street Vendor Campaign. If you're in the City of LA, please call your city representative and encourage them to support full legalization of street vending.

On behalf of the street vendors, thank you, thank you for caring about those most vulnerable and susceptible to attacks because of poor policies. It is your support that ignited the idea that together we can create a fund to support street vendors that are victimized daily.

If you have any questions, please ask! Please note, we are unable to respond to comments posted on this page. This page was created by concerned residents and nonprofits who are committed to supporting the working poor that are unjustly criminalized. Your funds will go directly to vendors and updates on funds distributed will be posted here.
