Equipment for the SEN provision at Stanton Cross Primary.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Natasha!
I am here to raise some funds for some specialist equipment to help the children in the SEN provision at my daughter’s school…
Some people already know that my daughter Evelyn has Autism, she is currently in a mainstream school (Stanton Cross Primary) Although we are in an appeal process to get her into a SEN unit, this process will take well over a year and it is not promised she will get a place, due to lack of spaces in all SEN schools/unit provisions.
Stanton Cross Primary have very kindly set up a provision, currently called ‘blossoms’ to create a space for all the children with additional needs, which gives our children a much greater chance at learning in their own way and in a safe space within the school. Blossoms currently has a lovely fully qualified teacher and an amazing TA.
This provision is fully funded by the school/ EHCP funding with no extra help from the LA.
Unfortunately for the provision to carry on to the next academic year it will again have to come out of the school budget.
As I am unable to raise money to go to the school as they do not have ‘charity’ status. I have decided to fundraise for equipment which is desperately needed.
Specific equipment can be used to regulate, for extra focus, can create environments where learning is much easier for the children with additional needs. However these come at a large cost. A singular wobble stool costs £90, and the school currently only has 1. With the school growing year by year, there will only be more and more children who will require access to this provision.
Please help us fundraise some money for this equipment, it will be greatly appreciated by not only my daughter, the rest of the Blossoms class and the school but for future children that may require this safe space within a mainstream school.
