Equitable Access to the Outdoors

For the past few years, I have been helping develop an outdoor health platform with a mission of empowering a healthier, more resilient global outdoor community.

This project is driven by my deep, long-standing fascination with the intricate connection between health and the natural world. I strongly believe that if we can learn to understand this delicate balance—the symbiotic relationship between our well-being and the environment—we unlock the possibility of not just surviving, but thriving in harmony with the natural systems that sustain us.

Time spent in nature has been proven to deliver immense physical and mental health benefits, yet for too many, access remains limited by fear, lack of knowledge, and financial barriers. To truly thrive, we must break down these barriers and ensure equal opportunity for everyone to experience the healing power of the outdoors.

This year, I have had the privilege of working alongside the Adaptive Climbing Group, an organization dedicated to making climbing accessible for individuals with physical disabilities and those from low-income backgrounds. ACG empowers these athletes by providing the resources, support, and inclusive community they need to push beyond physical constraints and accomplish extraordinary feats. Through this experience, I’ve witnessed the incredible resilience and determination of adaptive climbers, whose ability to overcome challenges has been a constant source of inspiration.

To further this mission, I’ll be running the NYC Marathon on November 3rd to raise $4,000 for the Adaptive Climbing Group. Your contribution will help fund essential gear, transportation, and volunteer support, making it possible for more adaptive athletes to explore the outdoors and experience its benefits.
