Erdody, Brycen

Hello, I made this in order to raise funds to help my brother Erdody, Brycen and his family during these difficult times. On 25 May 2022 during Jumpmaster school, Brycen suffered a major malfunction with his reserve parachute, in which ripped him from the plane that was flying 150 MPH at 1250 feet. Upon exiting the aircraft, Brycen hit his head hard on the door, which knocked him unconscious, and ripped his helmet off his head. Also, by hitting the door, it nearly tore his arm off in the process. He was unconscious until about 20 feet above the tree line, in which he landed in a tall tree. He freed himself from the parachute harness falling from a significant height to the ground. Once on the ground he dialed 911, realized his arm was just dangling and bleeding profusely. He reached into is armpit and stopped the bleeding, and walked to an open area, so the helicopter hovering above could find him.

 

Brycen suffered 2 brain bleeds, 2 fractured ribs, bulged disc in his neck, tore his bicep completely, and has no ability to move his arm or feel any sensation. His arm, at this time is completely paralyzed. This money will allow Brycen and his family to be able to buy things to make it easier for him to move around the house, utilize tools, meals, moveable bed frame to stabilize his arm, Gand get through his daily life. The Doctors believe it will be a 2-3 year recovery based on no nerve roots were torn, but they haven’t been able to diagnose anything yet.

Brycen has been in the hospital since the incident, and is currently being treated for a severe TBI.
