Erendira's Life Saving Kidney Transplant Expenses

Donation protected
This fundraiser is to help Erendira Mosqueda raise money to help with kidney transplant expenses.

Eren was born with spina bifida, which caused urinary reflux, and that has damaged her kidneys. She has been working hard to be transplant ready, but her health is declining; some days are just a bit hard to stay optimistic, but there is hope! She is looking to get on the list in Arizona, where the waitlist is 2 to 5 years. This is significantly less than the waitlist here. There will be travel expenses, hotel, and food. She will have to go to Arizona for several trips in the months leading up to the transplant, a month right after, and once a month for 6 months after to ensure she is stable and that all is well. Any help to cover these costs would be so appreciated.

Now that I have told you about her fundraising needs, I want to give you a glimpse into the amazing human Erendira is, my friend, my sister, my bestie. We went to kindergarten together, so she has pretty much been in my life as far back as I could remember. We have faded in and out of each other’s lives many times, but there has always been a bond. Picking up our friendship as though time had never slipped by. We have been very close for the past 3 or 4 years. I see she is struggling, but she is a true baddie, pushing through feeling sick, taking care of her children, and praising God through it all. There are days she can barely hold anything down, and she still puts her kids first, managing iep meetings, advocating for her kids, and managing a household as a single mother. Her children have special needs. Her son has autism, and all three of her children have ADHD. Along with all of her needs and care, she has to manage and provide for their needs as well. On top of that, she is doing the daily stuff we all have to do, but then at night, she has to hook up to her dialysis machine. Her pd dialysis is not working as well for her now. Her body will not be able to handle hemo dialysis for very long. A transplant is what will save her life.

Of course, our hope and prayer is that a donor will come forward, be tested, and will be her perfect match. But we know this is in God’s timing, and that in the meantime, we have to be prepared for Arizona. We need a ton of prayer; if you can help in that department, we are grateful. We definitely would like more eyes on her story, so if you could share, that would be great! And if you are able, a donation to this fundraiser would be very appreciated. Our ultimate wish, hope, prayer, and dream, would be to find a donor. You can request a donor kit for Erendira Mosqueda by calling Lupita Gomez at Sharp 1(858)650-5015.
