Hi my family and I are hoping to help Mom get through this difficult time. On April 13th Dad had an elective sinus surgery. 20 minutes after being released, he went into Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. He is in the ICU at South Texas Hospital in McAllen.

Prior to the surgery, he golfed 9 or 18 holes of golf per day, carrying his own bag. He managed and worked at the Pro Shop. His work was a financial benefit in that it was an exchange for lot rent. Lot rent is approximately $2900.00 per YEAR.

Since arriving in Texas to support Mom, we have had an incredible hail storm. Golf ball to small apple sized hail. Damage to car and siding on her house. The deductible for the house is $1500. Car deductible is an additional $495.

Dad always managed the finances and Mom is I’ll-equipped to handle this at this time.

God is blessing us with small steps forward, it is going to be a long way back. He is 87 years young.
