Eric Clark hurt playing High School football age15

This is Eric Clark and he is a Sophomore football player.  On Thursday August 29, 2019 his mom and dad received an urgent phone call that no parent wants to get.  It was Eric's school informing them that Eric was being rushed to Children's Hospital and they needed to meet them there.  Eric's parents, Katrice and Willie, were on their way to Children's Hospital when another call came in !  They were told to reroute because they were now taking their son to Grady Hospital.  Mr. Clark says that his heart sank because he knew inside what that meant.  The team on the phone said that Eric needed the help of a trauma team.  Mr. Clark held back the tears when he heard this and tried to be strong for his wife and their other son Andre, who also plays on the same team. 

When they finally laid eyes on Eric, they couldn't believe the state that their son was in.  Eric was paralyzed from the neck down.  He was conscious and alert, which helped ease their minds a little.  Eric would spend the next 12 days in ICU at Grady Trauma  and then he was transferred to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta ( Scottish Rite) on September 10th for rehabilitation. Eric is now at the Ronald McDonald House and is learning to use his arms/hands, legs including how to walk again. 

This family needs help, a terrible accident can rock a family to it's core.  Eric's family had not left his side since his incident.  This tragedy has caused this family to lose their income and serious emotional distress as they have not left Eric's side.
