Help Eric during his battle with pancreatic cancer

Hi, my name is Holly Elliott and I've created this fundraiser on behalf of Eric Jenkins Jr., along with his best friend, Monneca Torrain-Covingtion, and at the request of his family. Unbeknownst to many, Eric was diagnosed with stage 2 pancreatic cancer a few months ago, and was admitted to the hospital for several days. They wanted to get him started on an aggressive treatment plan right away. His team of doctors decided that immediate surgery would be the best option in his case, as his particular type of cancer has made it very difficult for him to eat, work, or function normally. He was scheduled for surgery on October 26 and would undergo "The whipple procedure" (a procedure to remove the cancerous tumor from the pancreas along with 50% of the organ, as well as removing some of his small intestines -- The procedure was made famous on the show Greys Anatomy and is known to be a very long and difficult procedure to perform) Eric was told he would need an 8 week recovery period. Ever since he's came out of surgery, he's been having an extremely difficult recovery to say the least. He is still unable to eat anything, still in pain, and was told that another surgery would be needed to correct a 'kink' left behind from the notoriously difficult whipple procedure. All of these surgeries, along with all the doctors appointments, and the overwhelming nature of being diagnosed with cancer, has left Eric unable to work and his bills are piling up along with his medical expenses.

As many of you know, Eric is a very proud, self sufficient, and independent man. And asking for help is just not something that he would ever do. He has such a huge heart and has helped many in their time of need. Now, its our turn to help him in his time of need. He holds many titles and is loved dearly by all who have the pleasure of knowing him. He is father to Justin and his beloved cat Pop pop. He is a pop pop himself to Justins 2 small children. He is known as Corkey to his loving family. He is known as Eric to all his coworkers from Fridays and Rusty Scupper. And he is known as both Enrique Allure, the Icon and currently, Enrique St. Laurent on the ballroom scene. He is a father, son, uncle, brother, hospitality professional, photographer, avid gym buff, and social worker. And of course, a loving friend and confidant to way too many people to name.

We've created this fundraiser to help him to alleviate some of the stress and financial burden that comes along with being diagnosed with cancer. To help him keep up with his monthly bills and all the extra medical costs he will incur with another surgery right around the corner and being out of work for so long. We are truly humbled and grateful for any donations and words of encouragement and want to see Eric make a full recovery and take the time to heal properly without having to stress and worry.
