Eric Gober

Hello, I'm Anna Menter, and I'm helping create this Gofundme with Eric's daughter Sarah Gober. As many of you know on Monday, February 20th Eric passed away due to an untimely death. Sarah found her dad deceased from a blood clot that traveled to his lungs.

If any of you knew the type of person Eric was, you know he had some great qualities. Some qualities include how compassionate he was, he put others before himself, his kindness, level-headedness, SO fun-loving, had a GREAT sense of humor, he was as genuine as they come, and he was obsessed with sports (more specifically the Twins). To the point where, if Sarah joked that they were going to lose a game he would be upset with her, to the point of calling her a "jinx".

Eric had an amazing ability to make Sarah's friends feel like they were a part of the family. When first meeting Eric I felt intimidated, but very quickly after I felt welcomed into their house and he felt like a second dad to me. He always wanted to check in to see how I was doing with school, work, and life. He constantly would ask for the latest work and relationship drama. He always wanted to be up to date. He offered me a lot of great life advice that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Sarah added: "He was truly one of a kind. It is not often that you get to experience the child and the parent growing up at the same time, but it led to him being my best friend. He was the person that I could rely on for anything. And the person I could trust most on the planet, I can't even imagine my life without him..but he left this world with so many good memories for people that he can bring love and laughter to them. He was the best dad a girl could ask for. He will be forever missed."

Sarah is an only child and now has lots of financial responsibilities pertaining to the loss of her father. The biggest one is the cost of the celebration of life as well as the responsibilities he left behind. We are asking for help to relieve some of the financial stressors off Sarah's shoulders, so she can grieve her father's loss.
