Eric Healey’s Goodbye

My Grandad Eric
devastatingly died of the covid 19  virus on 24 April 2020. He always promised he would live to be 100 (because I really wanted to get him a telegraph from the queen!) so I would like to raise £1000 in his memory. He tenaciously fought many things throughout his life, unfortunately this was his last fight and one he didn’t win!
As a young adult grandad was part of the royal artillery regiment and like so many other of his generation willingly risked his life to ensure we had a future! the army was a saviour to him and he always described it as giving him a new life so it seemed fitting especially on this 75th VE DAY to do something special in his memory!

As we can not have a normal funeral due to the current situation we have chosen to raise funds for the Royal British Legion who provide practical help, advice and support to the Armed Forces community all year round.  They help serving members of the Armed Forces, ex-Service men and women, their carers and families.
