Eric Heinz Fundraiser

My name is Carter Wheelock and I’m fundraising for my good friend, Eric Heinz. I’ve had the great privilege to work with Eric for about 8 years. Eric quickly became one of my best friends, and after working together every day for 3 out of those 8 years and with endless conversation about life and every aspect of it, I can honestly say that Eric has made one of the biggest impacts on my life and I’m beyond grateful to call him a friend.

Heartbreakingly, Eric was diagnosed with ALS on 12/13. Eric’s last day of work was 12/16.

Eric has endlessly given and supported so many people. Whether by offering emotional support, giving so freely with his time and incredible mechanical and carpentry skills, or by simply showing up with a smile and a joke, Eric has always been a force of positivity, good humor, and selflessness.

This fundraiser is to help offset medical expenses and assist with the sudden loss of work.

Donations will be given directly to Eric and his family via his wife, Joanna.

Update:

Eric’s battle with ALS ended September 9 as he passed away peacefully in his sleep. Words cannot express what he has meant to me as a friend, mentor and father figure. I know he touched so many people’s lives and we are better people for knowing him. 

Prayers for his family at this time of great loss and sorrow and for us all as we lost a truly great man, friend, and brother.
