Remembering Eric Leask

It is with heavy hearts that we remember the life of Eric Leask, a truly exceptional soul who was taken from us far too soon by a senseless act of violence. His passing has left a void in the lives of his beloved fiancé, daughter, as well as their son who is bravely fighting to recover from critical injuries.

Eric was known for his kind and giving nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. He approached every interaction with warmth and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on all those fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him. His dedication to his family knew no bounds, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

A lifelong fisherman, Eric fell in love with the waters of Alaska as a teenager, braving the seas around the island of Metlakatla to fish for salmon. He found solace in the ocean and the tranquility of the land. Of his many talents, Eric found joy in art. He had a passion for sculpting and delighted in the transformation of ordinary objects into captivating works of art. His unwavering dedication to his craft, paired with his innate humility, set him apart as a truly skilled and modest individual. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident in all aspects of his work.

Though Eric's life was tragically cut short, his memory will continue to be cherished by all who knew him. May his loving spirit and artistic talents serve as a reminder of the extraordinary person he was. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
