Gilmer County lost a terrific guy unexpectedly on August 7, 2023. Eric Maddox was a cherished spouse, a great father, a sibling, a son, an outstanding firefighter, and a friend to everyone he met. A simple look at the stories and sentiments shared immediately after his passing demonstrates how much of an influence he had on everyone's life.
