Hello, my name is Sarah Henricksen. A few weeks ago, my dear friend Eric, who is like family to me, experienced a devastating stroke. I am reaching out to all kind-hearted individuals to raise funds for Eric's daughter, Eryn, in order to assist her with the significant living expenses they are facing while Eric undergoes rehabilitation for his stroke at the Schwab Medical Center. My goal is to alleviate their financial burden so that Eryn can focus on her father's recovery without worrying about bills and expenses.

Eric has been a compassionate and generous soul, consistently giving back to those in need throughout his life. He has made an incredible impact on his community, particularly through his dedication to coaching youth basketball in Chicago for over 30 years. Eric's commitment and mentorship have positively influenced the lives of countless young athletes, instilling in them the values of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.

Two years ago, Eric took on the role of varsity basketball coach for Manley Career Academic High School. Under his leadership, the team experienced a remarkable transformation, culminating in their triumph as the 2022-2023 Chicago Public League Champions. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Eric was honored with the Coach of the Year award by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association.
