Eric Richards Support Campaign

Donation protected
On March 11, Eric was walking to class at Colorado State University to take his spring midterms.

When the light changed, he was the first pedestrian to step into the crosswalk and was struck by a driver than ran a red light.

This driver was uninsured.

Eric was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies ICU where they determined his leg was shattered and he has multiple fractures in his face. He is lucky to not have suffered any severe brain injuries.

His leg was operated on almost immediately to repair the break and he now has a metal rod and screws holding it into place. He is still in ICU as they are monitoring the facial fractures that go from his forehead, cheekbone, eyesocket, and nose.

Eric is a full time student and also works at Whole Foods in Fort Collins, Colorado. He has a long road of recovery and rehabilitation ahead and will be in need of help- although he is too strong to admit that!

He is lucky to have a strong support system, but it will be quite awhile until he can get back to work as well as his job as a student. We do not want Eric to have to worry about finances as he recovers after this traumatic event.
