Eric Schmidt Speedy Recovery
Donation protected
On the evening of August 22 many of our lives changed forever. Deputy Eric Schmidt sustained three gunshot wounds while he was responding to a call for service regarding a weapon. He tried to place a tourniquet on himself. While he was down he was able to return fire. His partners were able to carry him to safety. He was rushed to a near by hospital where he underwent extensive surgery. Post-surgery he is still unable walk and will require future surgeries to remove the remaining bullet and shrapnel from his foot and thigh. It will take months for him to fully recover.
Eric is a four-year veteran that showed extreme dedication to his community, which almost cost him his life. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served a tour in Afghanistan. He is a family man. He has four children ranging between the ages of 3 to 16. Eric is the sole provider of his four children and stay-at-home wife, Amanda. In the coming months, Eric and his family will need support. Anything will be greatly appreciated. We hope the money raised can be used to relieve any financial burden that may arise in the upcoming months. We love you Schmidt and hope you get better.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
