Eric & Shennell -Rebuilding After A House Fire

Donation protected
Hello & Thank you Family, friends & good people for all of the prayers & support. You have truly been a blessing to my cousin Eric Washington, his partner Shennell Proctor, their five children and infant grandson. This GoFundMe account is still active & setup on behalf of them, by me (Cherria). They are still working to get their life back to some form of normalcy. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

RECAP- On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, a massive fire broke out inside of their apartment in NE Washington, DC. destroying just about everything he and his family owned. The fire also displaced fifteen (15) other residents as well. Within moments of their escape, most of the building became consumed with flames. Thankfully and by the grace of God, everyone made it out of the building safe & unharmed, but shaken and devastated. I can only imagine how it would feel as a parent to be in this situation with my children/grandchild. It is very hard to fathom. I am asking for donations to help my cousin and his family rebuild their lives. They are facing one of the worst setbacks they've ever experienced. Unfortunately, they did not have renters insurance. Nothing in their home is salvageable. This tragedy is leaving them with no other option but to start completely over. They lost stability, their possessions and peace of mind. He and his family are facing a difficult road ahead to regain some sense of normalcy; and to mentally recover from enduring something of this magnitude. I know that with continued prayer, a strong village and community support, it can be accomplished. Your donations could make a significant difference in helping them navigate through this difficult time. As anyone can imagine-some of the things that were lost are irreplaceable. All donations will be appreciated, whether monetary, (Zelle, Chime), gift cards, care packages, clothing & shoes donations, diapers & formula, etc.. They need general necessities to help them get back on their feet. Just knowing that they have lost everything that they have worked for, is very sad & overwhelming. **Any donation through this site will be appreciated. But if you know Eric, and his family personally- and would like to donate directly to them, please reach out to his extended family for alternate donation methods. The family’s sizes are listed in the feed of my FB/IG pages. Thank you all for the support in advance.
