Eric Stark Recovery Fund
Eric Stark is a loving father of five and a Seattle Metro employee for 7 years. On March 27th, 2019, Eric was shot by a gunman on the north end of the city. Instead of focusing on his own injuries he managed to think quickly, place his bus in reverse and get his passengers to safety. Only when his passengers were safe did he see to himself and call for medical assistance.
I think a hero is someone who understands the degree of responsibility that comes with their calling. Eric understood that the safety of his passengers was his responsibility, even if it was at the detriment of his own safety.
Eric is currently in the hospital at Harborview Medical Center receiving medical treatment for a gunshot wound to the torso. The money raised here will be given directly to his family at the conclusion of the fundraiser. It will go to help with lost wages due to time away from work and to help cover any medical bills.
My name is Adam Busby and I am an Army Nurse and understand how traumatic injuries like this can affect people. I hope that this will not dissuade Eric from returning to work to a job he loves. Eric is my uncle by marriage and we are hoping for the best in his recovery after this tragic event.
Raising five loving children made him a hero, events of this day just reinforced what we already knew.
