Help Eric Tharp During His Recovery

Hi, my name is Stephanie and I’m Eric’s little sister.
If you know Eric, you know that he is one of the kindest people to be on this earth. He has always done anything and everything for others, especially those he loves. He is full of jokes and sarcasm, which we all appreciate, even if his sarcasm drives us crazy sometimes. He is a staple in the Youngstown music industry. He’s extremely talented and has been in numerous bands for years. He’s also worked the door for Cedars for years, and other local bars, making sure everyone is safe while enjoying their favorite musicians. For about 15 years, he’s worked as a deliverer for Team Office and is one of the hardest workers. I can personally say I’ve heard clients speak so highly of him, his work ethic, and his ability to make their day with his big smile.
He could really use the love and support right now from his friends, family, and even strangers who may not have had the opportunity of meeting him just yet.
On October 31st, around 1am, Eric took himself to the hospital after noticing something wasn’t right with his left foot. Once he got to the hospital, they had to rush him into the OR for emergency surgery. Eric had a severe infection in his foot, that the doctor said could’ve taken his life if he didn’t come in when he did. During the first surgery, the doctor removed parts of his left foot in hopes of cutting the infection out, but after more tests were done, it was necessary that they were going to need to remove more. This all happened so fast and as a result of the infection spreading quickly, Eric had to have his left leg amputated up to the knee. Meanwhile, on the right leg, they had to open it up for days due to it filling up with toxic gases. Luckily, the doctor was able to clear up his right leg and no surgery was needed on that one.
After spending a little over two weeks in the hospital in a lot of pain and shock, he was moved to a rehabilitation center to begin therapy. It’s going to be a long road to recovery for Eric, as this has completely changed his life. But with that being said, even from the first surgery, Eric has stayed in good spirits worrying more about how his loved ones are going to handle this change more than himself. He’s continued to stay strong and knows he will overcome this. We know he will, because that’s Eric and we’re all by his side, especially his beautiful fiancé Kylie. She’s been his rock and his biggest support through all of this.
All proceeds will go directly to Eric and his medical bills. He has had to miss a lot of work, and is continuing to miss work because of this.
