Marine Engineer Needs a Pituitary Tumor Operation
Donation protected
I know this may come as shocking and unexpected news to most of you, as I have always kept my personal life more or less to myself. Back in 2009, I had a series of MRI’s conducted due to pain in my back. To my horror, my vertebrae were not the only concern found in the MRI. As requested, I returned to Beaches MRI in Florida where they scanned my brain with contrast dye and discovered a Hemorrhagic Pituitary Adenoma. From the start of the diagnosis I was put on a medication to try and minimize the tumor. This drug called Bromocriptine, had many adverse physical affects including constant nausea, violent mood swings, and many other side affects that not only affected me, but my family and friends too.
I am now divorced, remarried to a wonderful woman named Rachel. I have a nine, almost ten year old beautiful son and trying to live my best life so I can be an amazing father figure to my son Troxler. I don’t want to loose my eyesight….I don’t want to lose functionality of my pituitary, I just want my life back. I don’t want this so Troxler and I can finally get to know one another.
The procedure that needs to happen isn’t a very nice one….first they will sedate me(I hope), then they may have to dislocate my lower jaw and lastly a neurosurgeon will drill up thru the top of the roof of my mouth into my head and careful remove the tumor via laser without either damaging the pituitary gland, my optic nerve, or the blood vessel going around it. Although this porcedure isn’t open-brain surgery, it will still put me at quite a financial disadvantage as I won’t be a able to work which helps out greatly with our monthly expenses and medical bills. On top of all of this, I will also most likely need supervised care in post Op.
If you’ve known me, loved me, cared about me, and are willing to help, please donate what you can. I am extremely embarrassed to ask for help but this is the only way that I think I can reach out to the masses. Please keep me in your prayers, any amount helps and god bless you all!
Love, Peace and Happiness,
