Please help Erica in her fight against Anorexia!

Erica has been fighting to take back control of her life from a debilitating and complex eating disorder since her last relapse a year ago. After exhausting all available treatment options here in Newfoundland (both outpatient and inpatient), and after extensive discussion with her treatment team, it has been decided that Erica needs to travel to Ontario to avail of lifesaving inpatient treatment for her anorexia. Unfortunately she has not been able to be stabilized with the current treatment options available here in Newfoundland. She has continued to deteriorate, and has reached a critical point with her health. She is not ready to leave this world yet, and knows she needs to keep fighting, as exhausted as she is. She will be admitted to one of the top hospitals in Canada that specializes in treating eating disorders, and will potentially be there for 4 months. Unfortunately, this puts a big financial strain on Erica. She has spent so much time in hospital this year fighting this illness, and has missed substantial time off work due to her various admissions, and in order to attend appointments with her treatment team. She has used up all of her sick leave, and does not have enough hours to re-quality for sickness EI benefits at this time. She will need to pay her rent, car payment, and other bills while she is away- but has no means to do so. Erica doesn’t need to be worrying about this financial strain on top of fighting for her life, away from familiar faces and the comforts of home. Please donate!
