Erica Leisy's Struggle with Liver Disease

Hi, we're Leon and Debbie Harris and we're fundraising for our daughter Erica Leisy. Erica was diagnosed with advanced liver disease about a year ago and has been on the transplant list at the VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA since July 2023. While hoping to receive a cadaver liver, her condition has deteriorated to the point where a live donor is now being considered. Even if a donor is found quickly, her family still faces a long recovery (six months or longer) where neither her nor her husband will be able to work regularly. Funds raised will be used to defray out-of-pocket medical expenses as well as pay for daily living expenses such as food, clothes, fuel, utilities, mortgage payments, etc.
