Erica Mobley Pate, a 26 year old, wife and mother of two small boys (ages 2 and 4) has recently been diagnosed with a malignant, inoperable brain tumor (Oligodendroglioma, Stage 2), which is affecting her motor skills. She has no medical insurance and has tremendous medical bills. Erica is facing chemo and radiation. The tumor can't be removed due to the risk involved. She is a patient at Duke in Durham, NC. Three years ago her oldest son, Corbin, was diagnosed with a brain tumor as well. He had a Ganglioblastoma, which was able to be removed completely. No regrowth thus far. Corbin has to have MRI's yearly to monitor. Corbin also has many medical bills which Erica and her husband, Anthony, have been paying monthly. This, in part, is why Erica was unable to afford Medical Insurance on herself. This family has been through so much but have kept a very positive attitude because of their faith. Between the medical expenses of Corbin and the unknown for Erica, the bills will be catastrophic for this young family. Please look in your heart and try to help. More than anything, please keep this amazing mother in your prayers. She is such a kind person, who just wants to get back to chasing her sweet boys.
