Help Erica get to Nepal

When I was 12 years old, I read a secular article depicting the life of women and children who were being trafficked in Indonesia. It was this moment that I felt the tug of the Holy Spirit and knew the calling and purpose that God had for my life. I tore that article out and had it hanging in my room until I graduated and left High School.
17 years later, I have the amazing privelege of joining Church of the Highlands on a mission trip to Nepal in April 2016. Nepal is home to the world’s tallest peaks as well as home to many of the world's remaining unreached people groups. Our team will be focused on the victims of human trafficking. Since the earthquakes in April of 2015, we will visit temple sites, raise awareness through art, meet with Mukhti Network Leaders, go on prayer walks, minister to women in brothels, and see the areas where child labor is present. We will be partnering with Mountain Child. I will be backpacking the Himalayan Mountains for 12 days, walking 20-25 miles a day in order to reach the beautiful people of Nepal.
Mountain Child was started by a few hikers that were hiking in the Himalayan Mountains for fun. They saw men going up the hill and days later coming down with lots of children. The founder had realized those men were Human Trafficking the children. So he wanted to stop this from happening so himself and a few of the hikers helped start this amazing organization in 2000. They go up into the mountains and create relationship with the families and communities. Mountain Child brings medical supplies and educates the children academically. They also teach the parents the signs of outsides coming in potentially trying to traffic their children.
The money donated will be going toward my flight, Mountain Child (because they are giving us a leader/guide), my hiking/backpacking necessities, and the medical supplies we will need to bring to each tribe/community and more.
The deadline to raise money is March 11. With your support, I believe that I can have the funds before then. I look forward to all that God is doing and going to continue to do in me and the country of Nepal. I want to thank you for investing in me and believing that God will be glorified through this trip!
