ERIC IS WALKING!
Donation protected
On a very foggy Sunday night January 15th, 2017 Eric's life changed in an instant when the driver (Erics best friend) of the pickup truck he was riding in lost control and it overturned. Unconscious his friends pulled him to saftey and called 911 for help. Eric's neck was broken badly and he bruised his spinal cord. After having emergency surgery to put a plate and screws to repair his neck, he is still unable to use his legs and hands. But as the swelling goes down and the spinal cord continues to heal we will keep you updated.
Hundreds of people are praying each day for Eric to have a complete recovery. Please join us in prayer.
As of February 5, 2017, Eric has now been in St. Anthony’s Hospital, St. Louis, MO for 23 nights.
With the medical costs rising each day, the Hospital's bills are far surpassing what insurance will be covering. Currently Eric is on a Rehabilitation floor working three hard hours each day in Physical Therapy trying to regain the use of his legs and hands. He has a tough road ahead but we stand in faith that he will walk out of the Hospital at some point and time. He is remaining very positive and his spirit is good.
Many of you have already contributed to the initial emergency fund and we cannot thank you enough. It has made a big difference. But now we have a much clearer picture of just how high the medical bills are. And no idea how much longer he will be in the hospital. No
22-year-old person who has helped and loved so many others should have to face financial ruin after such an event. There was no drinking involved, no drugs, no reckless driver. Really good kids and just a very tragic accident.
We are asking you to reach into your heart to help this amazing young man while he continues the fight of his lifetime to recover. Your donations small or large will make a huge difference. If you know of any organization or philanthropic individual that can help please forward this to them. We know that anything is possible and for some writing a large check is not only a possibility but they are happy to bless others, given how God has so blessed them.
We will post updates on a regular basis so you can see the difference that your prayers make while Eric recovers.
On behalf of Eric and his family, God Bless You.
