HELP SUPPORT ERICK'S FUNERAL EXPENSES

We Erick's family are writing to you with a heavy heart and deep sadness to announce his passing. Unfortunately, our original gofund me for Erick was only for a hopefully recovery that we were wishing for Erick. Our dear Erickon like many knew him gained his wings to fly to heaven on 6/30/2022 after long 13 days of fighting for his life. We the family are now faced with unexpected funeral and burial expenses and we ask humbly for donations. Some person without a heart took Erick from us and we now have a void in our hearts because we will no longer hear his voice, jokes or even listen to his laughter. All current funds we have collected in this platform will now go towards his funeral expenses. Hello, my name is Veronica Martinez; my family and I decided to create a fundraiser for my nephew Erick Martinez, who is currently fighting for his life in the ICU Trauma Center in San Antonio, TX. On June 18th, Erick was intentionally struck in Eagle Pass, TX, by a vehicle going at a very high velocity. He was airlifted to San Antonio, Texas after being found 5 hours later on the side of the road with a very severe brain injury. At the moment, we are still looking for the person who did this to get Erick the justice he deserves.

 

Erick's mother was in Minnesota at the time about to start working as migrant worker with her husband when a family member called her and told her the devastating news, she came rushing as fast as she could and she now really needs all the support she can get. We remain focused on what’s to come next, and the help from anyone will be greatly appreciated. We would like to have Erick go to a rehabilitation center and get all the treatment he needs when he is able to. We have a lot of faith he will overcome this and with the help of everyone he will be getting the treatment he deserves. Erick is a very strong individual, he’s a son, a brother, an uncle, a grandson and a cousin, we are all waiting patiently until the day he wakes up. He has so much life ahead of him and we trust that he will get the help he needs to one day be able to enjoy this life that has been given to him. We are waiting to see him smile and make us laugh with his jokes like he did before. We still have many unknowns with Ericks journey, but we remain hopeful with a lot of faith for the best outcome.

 

The main reason we are doing this is that unfortunately Erick doesn't have health insurance and we need help paying for the piling medical bills and needed upcoming medical procedures. We appreciate any help you can give my sister.

Hola, mi nombre es Verónica Martínez, mi familia y yo decidimos crear una recaudación de fondos para mi sobrino Erick Martínez, que actualmente está luchando por su vida en el Centro de Trauma ICU en San Antonio, TX. El 18 de junio Erick fue golpeado intencionalmente en Eagle Pass, TX por un vehículo que iba a una velocidad muy alta. Fue trasladado por aire a San Antonio, Texas después de ser encontrado 5 horas más tarde en el lado de la carretera con una lesión cerebral muy grave. En este momento está siendo muy fuerte y seguimos buscando a la persona que hizo esto, para que Erick tenga la justicia que se merece.

 

 

La madre de Erick estaba en Minnesota en ese momento a punto de empezar a trabajar como trabajadora migrante con su marido cuando un familiar la llamó y le comunicó la devastadora noticia, y se vino lo mas pronto possible que pudo y ahora necesita todo el apoyo que pueda conseguir. Seguimos concentrados en lo que viene, y la ayuda de cualquiera será muy apreciada. Nos gustaría que Erick fuera a un centro de rehabilitación y recibiera todo el tratamiento que necesita cuando pueda. Tenemos mucha fe en que superará esto y con la ayuda de todos recibirá el tratamiento que se merece. Erick es un individuo muy fuerte, es un hijo, un hermano, un tío, un nieto y un primo, todos estamos esperando pacientemente hasta el día en que se despierte. Tiene mucha vida por delante y confiamos en que obtendrá la ayuda que necesita para poder disfrutar algún día de esta vida como antes. Estamos esperando para verlo sonreír y hacernos reír con sus bromas como lo hacía antes. Todavía tenemos mucho que recorrer con Erick y su recuperacion.

 

La razón principal por la que estamos haciendo esto es porque desafortunadamente Erick no tiene seguro médico y necesitamos ayuda para pagar las facturas médicas que se acumulan y los próximos procedimientos médicos necesarios. Apreciamos cualquier ayuda que puedan dar a mi hermana.
