Eric Rides for Hope
THE REASON WHY
After a catastrophic 7.0 earthquake devastated Haiti in 2010, the already impoverished nation was left in complete ruins. With more than 300,000 people killed, hundreds of thousands injured, and 1.5 million people left homeless, the need for a new medical clinic in Haiti was undeniable. Through the countless hours of hard work and dedication of 100+ volunteers, $1,000,000+ in donations, and several trips to Haiti, including going myself four times, the non-profit organization Angel Wings International (AWI) was able to open the doors to their own medical clinic in 2017, on the 7th anniversary of the earthquake.
Now we need your help to expand the existing structure of the clinic to provide a stand alone building that will serve as an inpatient bed unit for PRE/POST operative surgical procedures that will house 10 hospital beds. To raise needed funds, I have created the “Eric Rides for Hope” event consisting of a cross-country bike ride from Miami to San Diego and in-person speaking events to inspire people, build community, and gain support along the way. The ride will begin March 17, 2022.
Thank you for joining me on this ride and making the dream of raising $250,000 for AWI a reality! If it weren’t for the generosity of people like you, AWI would not be where it is today.

ABOUT THE RIDER
I grew up as an obese teenager with many behavioral issues that lead to my expulsion from high school and encounters with law enforcement. Through small changes, made every single day, I was able to turn my life around. Since then, I have completed several half marathons, 4 marathons, ridden my bike from San Diego to Las Vegas, trained in boxing, and in 2016 finished my first Half Ironman race.
I am now a Hall of Fame sales representative with Cutco Cutlery, responsible for nearly $3 million in personal sales and a public speaker. I wrote my first book, The Power to Change, to empower and inspire others with my story.
