Eric’s Brain Surgery & Recovery

Hello everyone. 

This is Eric. He is 19 years old.
Thursday January 31st he got in an accident. He was Long boarding in Austin Tx where he was hit by a car & rushed to the ER. 
He injured his skull and brain and had to have immediate surgery. The swelling took a while to go down but we were so relieved when it did!

Things were looking up when he was moved to a rehab facilty. He started following commands such as “give us a thumbs up”. He tried his best and made some progress.

Unfortunately, Eric had to have brain surgery again due to an infection, fluid retention and meningitis.He's back at Seton Medical
recovering. 



He had just gotten a job at P. Terry and had plans to enroll in College in the Fall. This accident has really but a hold on those plans.

Some Brain Trauma Injury patients have been able to walk out of the Texas NeuroRehab facility after 6 months of rehab but others, in a year or longer.

Eric is strong and surrounded by friends and family that love him but he will need to be in the hospital until the infection has been cleared, before he can start rehab again.

Meanwhile, the medical bills are piling-up. So every penny one can give out of the kindness of their heart helps.
