Eric Steinbaugh kidney donation

When my mom was diagnosed with IgA mediated kidney failure and in need of a kidney transplant. Several family members were tested. I also posted on Facebook , the importance of donating and a link if anyone was interested. But to be honest , I NEVER expected for someone to be selfless enough to go through the process, especially for someone they never met. 


Then Eric Steinbaugh messaged me asking about the process. Now I know Eric is an incredible human but it’s still such a huge sacrifice that I didn’t take it too seriously. Next thing you know Eric was driving back and forth between Orlando and Jacksonville for testing, interviews. And ended up being a match for kidney donation for my mom! All of this for someone he has never met! 

I met Eric 10 years ago, at of all places the poker room. He worked there. And I played a few too many hours there. We’ve always been good friends but I never expected this level of selflessness. 



The transplant plant will take place in May. And Eric will be out of work for 4 weeks. The surgery and everything will be under my moms insurance but he will lose income and have travel expenses. So it would be amazing if you could donate to someone doing so incredibly selfless as donating an organ to a woman he has never even met. 

He is giving my my mom a second chance at life. Two daughter more time with their best friend. A husband more time with his wife of over 30 years. We will be forever grateful and he will be a part of our life forever.
