Erik on his long journey to healing
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Mark, and I am putting forth this campaign to help Erik Bader-Shaw on his long journey to healing, with the gift of professional counselling to help ease his trauma after losing both his mother Michelle, and his five-year-old sister Heidi in a tragic accident this July 24th-25th, 2023. It is with the blessings of both sides of the family that we are putting this campaign together for Erik's well-being, with an eye toward a bright, and well-adjusted future for this loving, caring, outgoing nine-year-old boy.
The purpose of this campaign is to provide Erik with enough funds to cover out-of-pocket counselling expenses from now until he turns eighteen. Any monies not spent on counselling can go towards his post-secondary education plans. The goal is to provide Erik with as much trauma counselling as he needs over the next decade and to make sure that he never has to go without a professional shoulder to cry on, or someone knowledgeable about grief to talk to. We can never take away the pain of the losses he's suffered, but we can at least provide him a safe place to deal with his grief.
I'm not an eloquent writer, and I never thought I'd be in a position to create something like this for a family friend's only surviving child. Please help us make Erik's future as bright as possible, with access to all of the help he can afford in his hour of need. I'm sure that with the outpouring of sorrow from Michelle, and Heidi's friends that I have witnessed in the last few days, we can meet our fundraising goal of $25,000.00 for Erik.
To Erik, we all love you very much.
