Erika Thomaselli and Family
Donation protected
It is with a heavy heart, that I share the news that my sister, Erika has passed away on January 30th after confronting this cancer with unmatched courage. Over the past seven months, after being diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine carcinoma, she underwent two intensive back surgeries, engaged in dedicated physical therapy, and endured numerous chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Her spirit remained unbroken, but the relentless nature of the illness ultimately took her from us.
My sister was not just a symbol of strength but a source of love and resilience. Her positive impact on those around her was immeasurable, and can be seen in the out pour of love and support she and our family have received. Despite the challenges, she faced each day with courage and unwavering determination. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, a testament to the extraordinary person she was.
In the wake of her passing, she leaves behind a grieving husband and four beautiful children – the three boys and that beautiful baby girl. As we navigate this profound loss, we are committed to honoring her memory by ensuring a brighter future for her children.
Going forward, all donations received will be dedicated to securing the futures of these four incredible children. The funds will go towards their futures, well-being, and any other needs that may arise as they navigate life without the guiding light of their remarkable mother.
Your continued support is invaluable during this difficult time. By contributing to this cause, you are not only honoring the memory of my remarkable sister, but also providing tangible support for her children's futures. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact and contribute to building a foundation of hope for these young lives.
In the face of grief, we find solace in the outpouring of love and support we have received.
With love and gratitude,
her little sister, Aileen
------------
My sister, Erika Thomaselli is the kind of person who has always been willing to go above and beyond for others. She is a loving mother (to 4 beautiful babies), wife, sister, daughter, and friend. Just a few weeks ago, and days after giving birth to her new baby girl, my sister, a true warrior in every sense of the word, was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroendocrine carcinoma.
As we navigate this challenging time, we want to create a special tribute for Erika. In light of the current circumstances, we are compiling a book titled "Tell Me About My Mom.” We invite you to contribute your memories, anecdotes, and reflections about Erika with the aim of creating a collection that she can enjoy and that will provide comfort and inspiration for her, as well as create a legacy for her children. Please use this form if you'd like to take part and share with others to do the same.
When she received her diagnosis, it was a devastating blow to our entire family. Despite the challenges that lie ahead, she continues to approach each day with courage and optimism, determined to fight this battle head-on. Her resilience and strength inspire us all, and we are determined to fight this battle alongside her. She cannot do it alone and know so many people want to know how they can help, which is why we have created this fundraiser. Together, let's rally around her and provide the support she needs in her fight.
The Challenges:
Neuroendocrine carcinoma is an aggressive adversary, and it has already taken a toll on my sister's health. The journey ahead will be arduous, and she has already undergone back surgery to address the significant damage the cancer has caused to her spine. Yet, through it all, she remains resolute and steadfast, determined to beat the odds stacked against her.
As her loved ones, we are in awe of her strength and tenacity. We want to do everything within our power to help her during this trying time. Together, we can provide the financial and emotional support she needs to face this battle with hope, courage, and love. The money raised here will help Erika and her family in the following ways:
Medical Expenses:
The costs associated with medical treatments and specialized care are substantial. With your generous contributions, we aim to ease the financial burden that comes with battling a formidable illness like neuroendocrine carcinoma. Your support will help cover medical bills, medications, and any necessary medical equipment to ensure she receives the best possible care.
Travel and Treatment:
In her pursuit of treatment, my sister needs to travel frequently to attend appointments with specialists and receive life-saving therapies. Your contributions will enable her to access the best healthcare facilities and focus solely on her recovery without worrying about travel expenses.
Childcare and Activities:
As a loving mother, my sister's top priority has always been her children. Throughout her treatment, we want to ensure her kids are taken care of, providing them with the support they need. Your donations will help cover childcare costs and enable the children to participate in activities that keep them engaged and active during this challenging time.
Unanticipated Expenses:
Living with cancer often leads to unexpected expenses. We want to be prepared for any unforeseen costs that may arise during her treatment journey. With your help, we can create a safety net that ensures my sister's focus remains on her health and recovery.
Let's show Erika that we believe no one should face the battle against cancer alone. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make an incredible difference in my sister's life, providing her with the much-needed support and resources to tackle this fight with courage and strength. If you'd like to help out in another way, please consider signing up to bring the family a meal.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering our cause and for being a beacon of hope during this challenging time.
